1.2 Personal information we collect

When you use our products and services, we may collect the following types of information.

Account information: If you create an account on our application, you may need to provide your country or region, email address, password, date of birth, gender, height and weight. You may also choose to provide other information, such as your nickname, weight goal, step goal and profile photo. Your personal information will be used in the calculation of certain health data algorithms — for example, heart rate is related to your age, height and weight — to provide more accurate health data. We will anonymize and encrypt your personal information.

Login information: If you use third-party login, such as WeChat login or Facebook login, we need to collect your account information (nickname, avatar, gender, date of birth) to display it in the application and provide you with better services.

Sports and health-related information: such as steps, distance, speed, exercise duration, calories, sleep duration, stress, heart rate, blood pressure, blood oxygen saturation, body temperature, walking time, moderate-to-vigorous exercise, exercise types, detailed exercise records for each exercise type, and medals (we will award you corresponding virtual medals based on your exercise situation), etc. Your sports and health data will be used for you to view your personal sports and health feedback, and to provide you with better health management services, such as developing good sleep habits and viewing the effectiveness evaluation of each exercise. We will encrypt your sports and health data. If you do not allow your sports and health data to be uploaded, we will not collect this information.

Location information: When you use certain location-based services, such as starting outdoor exercise mode, checking the weather or selecting your region, GPS positioning information will be used. If you do not allow us to access the GPS function of your phone, we will not collect this information.

Device MAC and application information: To improve product quality and enhance the user experience. When you use our devices and applications, we will obtain your device and application information, such as user configuration data, device MAC address, IMEI, sensors, device version number, serial number, firmware version, language, APP version, phone system version, device configuration, IP address, ANDROID ID, network type, device identifiers and other information. We only obtain the device information of our company's related devices that you have connected to, and we obtain it when the APP is connected to the device. The relevant information will be stored locally on your phone and uploaded to the server, and will be used for firmware and related version comparison and updates. The device and application information will be used for upgrade-related services such as updating the device firmware version, notifying of APP application version updates, notifying of watch face version updates and notifying of device language updates, or for locating and analyzing issues in related APP applications or device firmware. This information helps us record and analyze your sports and health data more accurately, and provide you with more professional health services and a more complete experience.

Service information: When you use the various functions of Keep Health devices and applications, you may submit some service information, such as reminder settings or exercise records. If you use the incoming call reminder function, we may read your call status and contacts, but we will not store your communication information; when you use the message notification function, we may access the notification status of third-party applications, and our device will temporarily store your message content; if you use the music control function, we may read music switch information, such as song playback and song status, but we will not store this information.

Feedback information: If you have any questions or suggestions about our products and services, you can give us feedback through “My > Feedback”. Through this function, we will collect the feedback questions you send to us, as well as your contact information (if you provide it). This information will be used to help us better understand the problems you encounter and to contact you.

Log information: If you use our devices or applications, we may collect some usage data, such as creating or logging in to your account, account-device pairing status, the number of device restarts, network usage information, system errors, system crashes, system restarts and system upgrade status. Your log information from the most recent 7 days will be automatically stored locally on your phone, and older log information will be automatically deleted. We will not actively collect your log information.

Visitor information: When you use the visitor function (applicable when you are not registered or not logged in), visitors can experience our products and certain limited services. The visitor's personal data (nickname, gender, height, weight, date of birth, sports and health data, etc.) will be stored locally on your phone and will not be uploaded to our servers.

Sensitive information of the software installation list: When you use the music function, we will obtain the list of software installed on your phone. This list will be stored locally on your phone and will not be uploaded to our servers.

Other information: We may also collect other types of information that are not directly or indirectly related to any individual, but are aggregated, anonymized or de-identified.

1.3 Device permission calls

When providing services, Keep Health may request certain device permissions from you. The following are the permissions we may call, along with their corresponding function descriptions and purposes.

① Bluetooth permission: to connect and bind your intelligent wearable device, and support functions such as message synchronization. If you do not need such services, you can turn off this permission at any time.

② Network permission: to determine the network environment you are in and use some functions that require network access. If you do not need such services, you can turn off this permission at any time.

③ Location permission: After you agree to the Privacy Policy and User Agreement, we will obtain your location to quickly determine where you are, so that we can promptly push weather information to your device and improve the responsiveness of the pages in the APP that require location information. When you start using the APP or register an account, we will obtain your location to help you quickly select your region; when you start outdoor exercise, we will obtain your location to display your exercise track; when you connect a device, we will obtain your location to search for nearby Bluetooth devices; and when you use the weather push function, we will obtain your location and then request the weather for your current location. If you do not need such services, you can turn off this permission at any time.

④ Storage permission: When you enable the APP and it records logs, or when you use the sharing function, or when you set a watch face or upgrade after adding a device, you may choose to enable this permission so that the APP can read or write application usage information, images and video information. If you do not need such services, you can turn off this permission at any time.

⑤ Phone permission: When you pair with a related device or use functions such as making and answering calls, rejecting incoming calls and receiving incoming call information on the wearable device, some sports and health devices need to access the phone permission in order to obtain the phone status. If you do not agree to this permission, you can turn it off at any time; this will not affect the use of other services.

⑥ Camera permission: When you connect a device by scanning a QR code, or set a personal avatar or a photo watch face, we need to call your camera or album permission, but we will not use your avatar image for any other purpose. If you do not need such services, you can turn off this permission at any time.

⑦ Read contacts and call records permission: When you use the device to push missed call numbers, we need to access the call records permission. When you use the device to add frequent contacts or synchronize contacts, we need to access the contacts permission so that the contacts can be quickly imported into the device to make calls. If you do not need such services, you can turn off this permission at any time.

⑧ Permission to allow the program to monitor, modify or give up outgoing calls: to control the phone to hang up calls from the wearable device when using the incoming call reminder function. If you do not need such services, you can turn off this permission at any time. (Android)

⑨ Fitness permission (obtaining steps): to provide step counting and step information display functions. (Android 10 and above) If you do not need such services, you can turn off this permission at any time.

⑩ Permission to allow the program to receive SMS: to provide the SMS reminder function, we need to receive SMS messages so that they can be obtained and synchronized to the wearable device. If you do not need such services, you can turn off this permission at any time.

⑪ Permission to allow the program to read SMS content: to correctly push the SMS content to the wearable device when using the message reminder function. If you do not need such services, you can turn off this permission at any time.

⑫ Floating window permission (Android): To prevent the application from being killed after exiting the background — which would make it impossible to obtain a complete exercise track during exercise — you need to enable the floating window permission. If you do not need such services, you can turn off this permission at any time.

⑬ Notification bar listening permission: When using the message notification function, you need to enable the notification permission to obtain the messages that appear in the notification bar, so that you can be reminded on your watch. If you do not need such services, you can turn off this permission at any time.

⑭ Get app list permission (Android): When using the message notification function, you need to obtain the app list permission to display the apps on your phone and turn on the notification switches of the apps that need to remind you. If you do not need such services, you can turn off this permission at any time.

⑮ Apple Health data write permission (iOS): With your authorization, it is used to write the exercise and health data you select to Apple Health. You can choose the types of data you allow to be written, and you can turn off the relevant permission at any time in the system settings.

⑯ Health Connect health and fitness data write permission (Android): With your explicit authorization, it is used to write the steps, distance, active calories, exercise records, heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV), sleep, blood oxygen, body temperature and weight data you select to Health Connect. Keep Health currently does not read or obtain data written by other applications through Health Connect. You can choose the types of data you allow to be written, and you can view, modify or withdraw the relevant permission at any time in the Health Connect settings.

⑰ Exercise permission: to provide step counting and step information display functions. If you do not need such services, you can turn off this permission at any time.

⑲ Nearby devices permission (Android): used to connect wearable devices. If you do not need such services, you can turn off this permission at any time.

2. How we use your information

We will use the collected information for the following purposes:

During the operation of the application, we need to collect your device's unique identifiers (IMEI / Android ID / DEVICE_ID / IDFA, SIM card IMSI information, OAID) to provide statistical analysis services, and to improve performance and user experience by analyzing application startup data and abnormal error logs, so as to provide better services to users.

To provide you with, process, maintain, improve and develop our products and/or services, including some after-sales and customer support services and the services on your device;

To communicate with you: we will use your information to send you service notifications when necessary, and to reply to you when you contact us;

To store and maintain your information in accordance with the content of our services or our legal obligations;

To provide you with limited services without communicating with our servers.

Use of non-personal data

We will collect some log information that does not involve personal data, such as error codes for device (restart) hardware problems, error codes and logs for device restarts, logs of the application's Bluetooth connection status, and anonymized user device and application usage (if you choose to participate). We will analyze this information as a whole to fix errors, monitor usage and optimize our services.

3. How we share your information

Except with your consent, we promise not to sell your personal information to any other third party for processing for any purpose. We will seek your explicit consent before sharing any personal data and sensitive personal data. We will not disclose or transfer your personal information to any unaffiliated third party unless:

To respond to your request: for example, if you authorize sharing your personal information with a third-party device or platform, we will share your information, such as exercise data including steps, distance, height, weight, heart rate and calories, with the third party at your request. Please read the privacy policies of these third-party devices or platforms, because your activities on third-party devices or platforms will no longer be governed by this privacy policy;

3.1 Sharing data through Health Connect

To help you centrally manage your health and fitness data, Keep Health can, with your explicit authorization, write to Health Connect part of the health and fitness data that you generate, record, or that is collected through your associated wearable device in this application.

Depending on the types of data you authorize, we may write the following data to Health Connect:

The above data is used only to realize the Health Connect data synchronization function that you have proactively enabled, so that you can centrally manage and use the relevant data through Health Connect and other health and fitness applications that you have separately authorized.

Keep Health will write only the data types you select to Health Connect, and only after obtaining your explicit authorization. This application currently does not read or obtain health and fitness data written by other applications through Health Connect, nor will it use the data processed through this function for advertising, marketing, data trading, credit assessment or any other purpose unrelated to the Health Connect synchronization function.

You can choose the types of data that you allow to be written to Health Connect, and you can view, modify or withdraw the relevant permission at any time through the Health Connect settings on your device. After you withdraw the permission, Keep Health will stop writing the corresponding types of data to Health Connect. You can also manage or delete the data that has been written through Health Connect. Refusing or withdrawing the Health Connect authorization will not affect the normal use of other basic functions of Keep Health.

After the data is written to Health Connect, other applications that you have separately authorized may access the relevant data. The processing of the relevant data by other applications is governed by their respective privacy policies. Please read the privacy notices of the relevant applications carefully before authorization.

We will take reasonable technical and administrative measures to protect the security of the relevant data, and process your health and fitness data in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, Google Play policies and Health Connect related rules.

We may share your personal information in the following circumstances:

(a) With service providers: We may share your personal information with service providers to monitor and analyze our use of the services — for example, to process payments on third-party websites after you visit our services, and to contact you.

(b) With business partners: We may share your information with our business partners to provide you with certain products and services.

4. Third-party service providers

We may hire third parties to help us deliver the Keep Health services, and you can choose whether to use third-party services. When you choose to use a third-party service, the third party may collect your information. Therefore, we strongly recommend that you take the time to read the privacy policy of the third party that provides the service, just as you would read our policy. We are not responsible for how third parties use the personal information they collect from you, nor can we control such use. Service providers may only access your personal data to deliver the Keep Health services on our behalf, and are obliged not to disclose it or use it for any other purpose:

Map service providers

In the Keep Health service, the service providers that support users in obtaining the outdoor single-exercise track function include: AutoNavi Information Technology Co., Ltd. Map SDK (com.amap.api), Google Map SDK (com.google.Maps) and Apple Map SDK (com.apple.Maps). When you use this service, we will collect your geographic information and provide your location information to the map service provider. For the specific collection and processing of data, please refer to the privacy policy of the corresponding map service provider. You can turn off the GPS on your phone to stop the collection of geographic information.

AutoNavi Map SDK

Purpose of collecting personal information:

To provide the accuracy and success of the location service, we track, troubleshoot, diagnose and statistically analyze various problems in the service, and ensure the safe and normal operation of the product and service.

Weather push service provider

If your device supports the weather push function, your location information will be sent locally to the weather service provider (Hefeng Internet Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd.) to obtain weather information for your region. You can stop this sharing at any time by turning off the weather push function at “Device > Device Settings > Weather Push”. After your personal information is anonymized, it will not be used to identify or locate you personally.

Cloud storage service provider

In the Keep Health service, the cloud storage provider is Alibaba Cloud Computing Co., Ltd. When you choose to store your data on the cloud, your personal data — including personal information, exercise data and health data — will be uploaded to Alibaba Cloud servers. For details about data storage, please refer to Alibaba Cloud's privacy policy. You can turn off the cloud synchronization function to stop uploading data to the cloud, or click “Clear Data” to clear the data that has already been uploaded to the cloud.

Sharing service providers

In the Keep Health service, the providers of sharing services include: Shenzhen Tencent Computer System Co., Ltd., Facebook, LinkedIn, VKontakte, NHN Japan and WhatsApp. When you use the sharing service, you will be redirected to the corresponding sharing platform.

Share SDK

Share SDK is a social sharing service provided by Mob Tech that allows you to share your nickname, date, steps and other information with third-party devices that support sharing. Sharing only takes place with your permission; otherwise, your information will not be shared.

Google Maps SDK

Purpose of collecting personal information: To provide the accuracy and success of the location service, track, troubleshoot, diagnose and statistically analyze various problems in the service, and ensure the safe and normal operation of the product and service; and to provide the accuracy and success of the location service, provide map and search services, track, troubleshoot, diagnose and statistically analyze various problems in the service. During exercise, location information will be obtained at a certain frequency for positioning and drawing the exercise track; clicking “My Location” will also obtain location information to locate your current position, so as to ensure the safe and normal operation of the product and service. Types of personal data collected: Device information (such as IP address, GNSS information, WiFi status, WiFi parameters, WiFi list, SSID, BSSID, base station information, GPS positioning information, signal strength information, Bluetooth information, sensor information (vector, acceleration, pressure, orientation, geomagnetic field), device signal strength information, external storage directory).

Embedded SDK description:

The Keep Health SDK has a self-start feature. In order to ensure that this application can normally receive push information sent by the client when it is running in the background in a closed state, the system will send broadcasts at a certain frequency to wake up this application to start by itself or to start in association with other apps, which is necessary to implement the functions and services. This application must use the self-start capability, the purpose of which is to ensure the stability of the push channel so that messages can be pushed to Android devices normally and in a timely manner. When the system sends a broadcast, the Keep Health SDK self-start behavior will be triggered. Given that the Keep Health SDK is integrated into the application, when the Keep Health SDK starts by itself, the application will start accordingly. This behavior is necessary to implement the push function and services.

5. Protective measures

We are committed to ensuring the security of your personal information. We will take all practicable steps to protect your personal information, including encryption, authentication tools and secure servers. To prevent unauthorized access, disclosure or other similar risks, we will adopt reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards and make every reasonable effort to protect your personal information. However, you should be aware that we cannot 100% guarantee the security or confidentiality of the information you provide to us.

6. Data transmission

At present, Keep Health rents servers in various regions provided by Alibaba Cloud. Generally, the data of local residents is stored only on servers within the local jurisdiction and will not be transferred across borders. With your consent, we may transfer your data across borders in accordance with applicable laws. At the same time, we will take appropriate protective measures to ensure that all transmissions comply with the requirements of the local data protection laws applicable to you. You have the right to be informed of the appropriate protective measures that Keep Health takes to transfer your personal information.

7. Data retention

If you use our products and services, we may collect and store your information. As long as you keep your account, we may store your information. However, once you cancel your account or make a deletion request, we will delete or anonymize your information as soon as possible, and no later than 90 days from the date of your deletion request.

8. Your rights

Keep Health promises to respect the confidentiality of your personal information and to guarantee that you can exercise your rights. In accordance with this Privacy Policy and relevant laws and regulations, you have the right to:

Request access to your personal information. You have the right to access the information we hold about you. You can directly access your personal information in “My > Personal Information” in the application. If you cannot perform these operations yourself, please contact us through the contact information below. Upon your request, we will provide you with a free copy of the personal information we have collected and processed. If you make any additional request for the same information, we may charge a reasonable fee in accordance with applicable laws and actual costs.

Request correction of the personal information we hold about you. You have the right to ask us to correct any incomplete or inaccurate information we hold. At the same time, you can directly correct your personal information in “My > Personal Information” in the application.

Object to the processing of your personal information. You have the right to choose not to allow certain uses and disclosures of your personal information. If you have agreed to Keep Health devices and applications processing your personal information or sensitive personal information, you may withdraw that consent at any time and contact Keep Health for further processing. In order to provide you with our services, we will ask you to provide the personal information necessary to provide you with these services. If you do not provide your information, we may not be able to provide you with our products or services.

Request deletion of your personal information. If we do not have sufficient reason to continue processing your personal information, you have the right to ask us to delete it. At the same time, you can delete or permanently anonymize the corresponding data by canceling your account, clearing your personal data, and other means.

Request the transfer of your personal information. Where technology permits, we will provide your personal information to you or a third party of your choice in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format. Please note that this right only applies to the information that you consented to our use of, or that we collected for the performance of a contract.

Withdraw your consent. You have the right to withdraw your consent to the use of your personal information. If you withdraw your consent, we may not be able to provide you with access to certain features of the service. However, your decision to withdraw your consent or authorization will not affect the personal information processing activities previously carried out based on your authorization. You can change the scope of our continued collection of your personal information, or withdraw your authorization, by deleting the device, disconnecting the device from the application, restoring the device to factory settings, clearing personal data on the cloud, turning off data management synchronization, or canceling your account.

Cancel your account. You can cancel your account through the APP at “My - Account Management - Cancel Account” to clear all data related to your account.

9. Privacy of minors/children

Our products and services are mainly intended for adults. Without the consent of their parents or guardians, children may not create their own user accounts. For personal data of children collected with parental consent, we will only use or disclose such data when permitted by law, with the explicit consent of the parent or guardian, or when necessary to protect the child. Although local laws and customs define children differently, we treat anyone under the age of 13 as a child. If we discover that we have collected a child's personal data without first obtaining verifiable parental consent, we will delete the relevant data as soon as possible.

10. Updates to the privacy policy

We will review our Privacy Policy on a regular basis and may update it to reflect changes to our information practices. You understand and agree that if you use the products or services after the updated Privacy Policy is published, you will be deemed to have accepted the updated Privacy Policy. 12. Google fit

“Keep Health” use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

With your permission, after turning on Google fit, your step count, calories, distance, and heart rate data may be uploaded to Google fit using Google API. We are limited to the following APIs:

1. Upload your steps, calories, and distance exercise data to Google fit.

2. Upload your heart rate data to Google fit.

We hereby confirm:

1. All health data is processed solely on your device. It is never uploaded to our servers, nor collected or stored remotely;

2. We do not use your HealthKit data for advertising or marketing purposes;

3. We do not share, sell, or exchange your health data with any third parties;

4. You can manage or revoke HealthKit permissions at any time through the Apple Health app. We respect and strictly protect your privacy. All access to HealthKit data complies with Apple’s privacy guidelines. Our app integrates with Apple’s HealthKit framework to access your health data (such as steps, heart rate, sleep, etc.) for local analysis and in-app display only.
